Watching YouTube videos is a great way to pass the time. However sometimes I wish I could take those videos on my iPod Touch and watch them while commuting to work. Luckily I just found the perfect application to make my wish come true!

Free YouTube Download is a simple tool that downloads YouTube videos to your hard drive, featuring several formats to choose from: AVI, 3GP, MP4 and the online native Flash video format, FLV.

The program is not only simple in design, but also in usage: enter the URL of the video you want to download, select your preferred format and let Free Youtube Download take care of the rest. The downloading process only takes a few minutes and you can then enjoy your Youtube videos locally straight away. Also, you can download several videos simultaneously to save time.

On the downside, there was something about Free YouTube Download I didn't like much. This was the fact that you must copy and paste the video addresses manually – it would be nice to have some kind of browser or clipboard integration.

With Free YouTube Download you can download any YouTube video to your hard drive and save it in several different formats.
